Summary
CVE-2024-0824 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Exclusive Addons for Elementor plugin used in WordPress sites. The issue lies in the Link Anything functionality, which fails to properly sanitize and escape user input. This defect allows authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access or higher, to inject malicious scripts into pages. When a user visits an injected page, the scripts are executed, potentially leading to data theft, unauthorized access, or other malicious activities. Versions up to 2.6.8 of the plugin are susceptible to this vulnerability.
