Summary

CVE-2024-0823 is a vulnerability that affects the Exclusive Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress in all versions up to and including 2.6.8. The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts through the 'Link To' URL in carousels, leading to stored cross-site scripting attacks. This means that whenever a user accesses an injected page, the injected scripts will execute. The vulnerability can be remediated by updating the plugin to a version higher than 2.6.8. The potential danger of this vulnerability to an organization is considered medium, with a base severity score of 5.4 out of 10, but with low integrity and confidentiality impacts.
