Summary

CVE-2024-0790 is a vulnerability found in the WOLF – WordPress Posts Bulk Editor and Manager Professional plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to exploit Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) by tricking a site administrator into performing actions such as clicking on a link. The affected functions include wpbe_create_new_term, wpbe_update_tax_term, wpbe_delete_tax_term, wpbe_save_options, wpbe_bulk_delete_posts_count, wpbe_bulk_delete_posts, and wpbe_save_meta. The vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 1.0.8.1 of the plugin. To remediate this vulnerability, users should update their plugin to the latest version available. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is that attackers can create, modify, and delete taxonomy terms, update plugin options, delete post counts, delete posts, and modify post metadata through forged requests.
