Summary

CVE-2024-0702 is a vulnerability affecting the Oliver POS plugin for WordPress, which is a WooCommerce Point of Sale solution. The issue stems from missing capability checks in several functions that are hooked via AJAX in the class-pos-bridge-install.php file. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access and above to execute unauthorized actions, including deactivating the plugin, disconnecting subscriptions, and syncing statuses. The impact of this vulnerability is significant as it could potentially lead to unintended modifications or disabling of critical features within the Oliver POS system. Versions up to and including 2.4.1.8 are affected.
