Summary
CVE-2024-0700 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Simple Tweet plugin for WordPress. This issue, which exists in all versions up to and including 1.4.0.2, exposes pages to authenticated attackers with author-level access or higher. Attackers can inject arbitrary web scripts into the 'Tweet this text' value, leading to the execution of these scripts whenever an unsuspecting user accesses the affected page. The root cause is insufficient input sanitization and output escaping within the plugin.
