Details
Summary
CVE-2024-0681 is a vulnerability affecting the Page Restriction WordPress (WP) – Protect WP Pages/Post plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 1.3.4. The issue arises from the plugin's failure to properly restrict access to pages through the REST API when they have been set as private. Consequently, unauthenticated attackers can view protected pages. The vendor has chosen not to implement REST API protection on posts and pages, confining restrictions solely to the front-end of the site. To mitigate this vulnerability, the vendor advises installing the WordPress REST API Authentication plugin for REST API coverage.
