Summary

CVE-2024-0632 is a vulnerability found in the Automatic Translator with Google Translate plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 1.5.4. It is classified as a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the custom font setting. The impact of this vulnerability is that authenticated attackers with administrator-level access can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which will execute whenever a user accesses those pages. However, this vulnerability only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled. To remediate this issue, it is recommended to update the plugin to a version that fixes the vulnerability or remove the plugin entirely if it is not necessary for website functionality. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is that it allows attackers to execute malicious code on affected websites, potentially leading to unauthorized access or data theft.
