Summary
CVE-2024-0586 is a recently disclosed vulnerability affecting the Essential Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress. This plugin, which offers templates, widgets, and WooCommerce builders, contains a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) weakness. The issue lies in the insufficient sanitization and output escaping of the custom login URL in the Login/Register Element. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever an unsuspecting user accesses an injected page. This vulnerability poses a significant security risk and necessitates immediate updates to address the issue.
