Summary
CVE-2024-0585 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Essential Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress, specifically its Filterable Gallery widget. This issue, present in all versions up to 5.9.4, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on Image URLs, enabling attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page.
