Summary
CVE-2024-0582 is a memory leak vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel's io_uring functionality. When a user registers a buffer ring with IORING_REGISTER_PBUF_RING, mmaps it, and then frees it, a memory leak occurs. An attacker can exploit this flaw to cause a denial-of-service condition or potentially escalate their privileges on the system.
