Summary

The CVE-2024-0537 vulnerability is a critical stack-based buffer overflow found in Tenda W9 1.0.0.7(4456) in the function setWrlBasicInfo of the component httpd. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely by manipulating the argument ssidIndex and poses a high risk to organizations as it allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code or crash the affected system. The exploit has been disclosed publicly, although the vendor did not respond to prior notification. It is recommended that organizations update their Tenda W9 devices to a patched version to remediate this vulnerability and mitigate potential attacks.
