Summary
CVE-2024-0507 is a privilege escalation vulnerability affecting all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server. An attacker with editor access to the Management Console could exploit a command injection flaw to elevate their privileges. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to gain full control of the affected system. The vulnerability was identified and reported through the GitHub Bug Bounty program. To mitigate the risk, system administrators are advised to update their installations to versions 3.11.3, 3.10.5, 3.9.8, or 3.8.13 as soon as possible.
