Summary
CVE-2024-0506 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Elementor Website Builder plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to and including 3.18.3, allows attackers with contributor access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the get_image_alt function's $instance[alt] parameter. Successful exploitation of this flaw requires users to take a specific action, such as clicking on a malicious link, which executes the injected scripts.
