Summary

CVE-2024-0428 is a vulnerability found in the Index Now plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 2.6.3. The vulnerability is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) issue, caused by missing or incorrect nonce validation on the 'reset_form' function. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this vulnerability by tricking a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link, and then delete arbitrary site options through a forged request. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is high, with a base severity rating of HIGH and an availability impact of HIGH according to the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) metrics.
