Summary

CVE-2024-0386 is a vulnerability affecting the weForms plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to exploit Stored Cross-Site Scripting by injecting arbitrary web scripts via the 'Referer' HTTP header. The vulnerability exists in all versions of the plugin up to and including 1.6.21 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. Organizations using the weForms plugin should update to a version that includes the necessary security patches to remediate this vulnerability. The potential danger of this vulnerability lies in the ability for attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts, which could lead to unauthorized access, data theft, or other malicious activities on affected websites.
