Summary

CVE-2024-0241 is an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability affecting encoded_id-rails versions before 1.0.0.beta2. This vulnerability allows a remote and unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service by sending an HTTP request with an excessively long "id" parameter. The affected products include uHNMbf, uHNMbe, uHNMbd, uHNMbc, uHNMbb, uHNMbm, uHNMbl, uHNMbk, uHNMbj, uHNMbi, uHNMbh, and uHNMbg. To mitigate this vulnerability, users are advised to update their encoded_id-rails version to 1.0.0.beta2 or later. This vulnerability has a high severity rating and poses a potential danger to organizations as it can lead to a service outage or disruption if exploited.
