Summary
CVE-2024-0202 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting the cryptlib cryptographic library. When cryptlib is configured with RSA key exchange ciphersuites in TLS, it becomes susceptible to the timing variant of the Bleichenbacher attack. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by initiating a large number of connections to the server. Successful attacks could result in the decryption of RSA ciphertexts or the forgery of signatures using the server's certificate. System administrators are advised to update their cryptlib installations as soon as a patch becomes available.
