Summary
CVE-2023-6979: A critical vulnerability affects the WooCommerce plugin for WordPress up to version 5.38.9. This issue allows authenticated attackers with author-level access and above to conduct arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in the ivole_import_upload_CSV AJAX action. Attackers can capitalize on this vulnerability to potentially upload malicious files, increasing the risk of remote code execution on the affected site's server.
