Summary

CVE-2023-6955 is an improper access control vulnerability that affects all versions prior to GitLab Remote Development 16.5.6, 16.6.4, and 16.7.2. This vulnerability allows an attacker to create a workspace in one group that is associated with an agent from another group. The affected products include a wide range of versions and configurations of GitLab Remote Development. To remediate this issue, organizations should update their GitLab installations to version 16.5.6, 16.6.4, or 16.7.2 or later. This vulnerability poses a potential danger to organizations as it allows unauthorized access to workspaces and compromises the integrity and confidentiality of the data stored within the affected systems.
