Summary

CVE-2023-6924 is a vulnerability in the Photo Gallery by 10Web plugin for WordPress, affecting versions up to and including 1.8.18. The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with administrator-level or above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. It can also be exploited with contributor-level permission when used with a page builder plugin. The vulnerability arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes, enabling stored cross-site scripting attacks. To remediate this vulnerability, users should update their Photo Gallery by 10Web plugin to a version beyond 1.8.18. This vulnerability poses a medium risk as it can lead to unauthorized code execution and potential compromise of user data on affected websites running the vulnerable plugin.
