CVE-2023-6840 is a vulnerability affecting GitLab Enterprise Edition (EE). Affected versions include those from 16.4 to 16.6.7, 16.7 to 16.7.5, and 16.8 to 16.8.2. This issue enables a maintainer to alter the name of a protected branch, bypassing the security policy intended to block merge requests.
