Summary

CVE-2023-6809 is a vulnerability that affects the Custom fields shortcode plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 0.1. The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied custom post meta values. The risk score for this vulnerability is 26, with a base severity of MEDIUM.
