Summary

CVE-2023-6744 is a vulnerability that affects the Divi theme for WordPress in all versions up to and including 4.23.1. The vulnerability is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue, which occurs due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied custom field data within the 'et_pb_text' shortcode of the plugin. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The risk score is 26, indicating a medium severity level. To remediate this vulnerability, it is recommended to update to the latest version of the Divi theme for WordPress.
