Summary

CVE-2023-6645 is a vulnerability found in the Post Grid Combo – 36+ Gutenberg Blocks plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts using the custom JS parameter. The vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 2.2.64 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. As a result, attackers can execute these scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is moderate, with a base severity rating of MEDIUM according to [email protected]. To remediate this issue, users are advised to update their plugin to a version that includes proper input sanitization and output escaping measures.
