Summary

CVE-2023-6629 is a vulnerability found in the POST SMTP Mailer - Email log, Delivery Failure Notifications and Best Mail SMTP for WordPress plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to perform Reflected Cross-Site Scripting attacks by injecting arbitrary web scripts through the 'msg' parameter. The affected versions are up to and including 2.8.6 of the plugin. To remediate the vulnerability, it is recommended to update the plugin to a version that addresses this issue. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is that if successfully exploited, attackers can trick users into executing actions such as clicking on a malicious link, leading to the execution of arbitrary scripts on vulnerable websites.
