Summary

CVE-2023-6527 is a vulnerability in the Email Subscription Popup plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 1.2.18. The vulnerability allows for Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks through the HTTP_REFERER header, due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This means that unauthenticated attackers can inject malicious web scripts into pages, which will execute if a user is tricked into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
