Summary

A vulnerability, known as CVE-2023-6428, has been identified in BigProf Online Invoicing System 2.6. This vulnerability allows for persistent cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks through the FirstRecord parameter in the /invoicing/app/items_view.php page, due to insufficient encoding of user-controlled input. Exploiting this vulnerability could enable an attacker to store malicious JavaScript payloads on the system, which will be triggered when the page loads. The affected product is BigProf Online Invoicing System version 2.6. To remediate this vulnerability, it is recommended to apply the latest security patches or updates provided by the vendor.
