Summary
CVE-2023-6351 is a high-severity vulnerability affecting Google Chrome versions prior to 119.0.6045.199. This issue involves a use-after-free flaw in the libavif library, which can be exploited by a remote attacker. By supplying a specially crafted avif file, a potential heap corruption can occur, putting users at risk. This vulnerability could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code, making it a significant threat. Users are encouraged to update their Chrome browsers to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
