Summary

CVE-2023-6234 is a critical vulnerability that affects certain models of Office Multifunction Printers and Laser Printers, including the Satera LBP670C Series, Satera MF750C Series, Color imageCLASS LBP674C/Color imageCLASS X LBP1333C/Color imageCLASS MF750C Series/Color imageCLASS X MF1333C Series, and i-SENSYS LBP673Cdw/C1333P/i-SENSYS MF750C Series/C1333i Series. The vulnerability is a buffer overflow in the CPCA Color LUT Resource Download process. It can be exploited by an attacker on the network segment to make the affected product unresponsive or execute arbitrary code. The firmware versions v03.07 and earlier are impacted, with specific models sold in Japan, the US, and Europe. The base severity of this vulnerability is rated as critical with a CVSS score of 9.8 out of 10, posing a high risk to organizations. It is recommended to update the firmware to a version higher than v03.07 to remediate this vulnerability.
