Summary
CVE-2023-6217 is a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting MOVEit Transfer versions prior to 2022.0.9 (14.0.9), 2022.1.10 (14.1.10), and 2023.0.7 (15.0.7). This issue arises when MOVEit Gateway is used in combination with MOVEit Transfer. Malicious actors can create a crafted payload, consisting of a MOVEit Gateway and MOVEit Transfer deployment. If a user interacts with this payload, the attacker gains the ability to execute malicious JavaScript within the victim's browser, potentially leading to data theft or unauthorized system access.
