Summary
CVE-2023-6175 is a denial-of-service vulnerability impacting Wireshark versions 4.0.0 to 4.0.10 and 3.6.0 to 3.6.18. Maliciously crafted NetScreen capture files can cause a file parser crash in Wireshark, leading to a denial-of-service condition. Exploitation of this vulnerability may prevent legitimate usage of the affected Wireshark software. Network administrators are advised to upgrade to patched versions to mitigate this risk.
