Summary

CVE-2023-6133 is a vulnerability that affects the Forminator plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 1.27.0. The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with administrator-level capabilities or above to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server due to insufficient blacklisting on the 'forminator_allowed_mime_types' function. However, remote code execution is not possible due to the htaccess configuration. The danger posed by this vulnerability is that it could potentially allow an attacker to upload malicious files onto a targeted organization's server, compromising its integrity and potentially leading to further attacks or unauthorized access. To remediate this vulnerability, users should update their Forminator plugin to a version higher than 1.27.0, which contains the necessary security patches.
