Summary
CVE-2023-6120 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting the Welcart e-Commerce plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the upload_certificate_file function, which allows administrators to upload .pem and .crt files. Unfortunately, this functionality can be exploited to traverse directories, granting unauthorized access to arbitrary server locations in all versions up to 2.9.6. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to WordPress sites using the Welcart plugin and requires immediate attention and patching to prevent potential data breaches.
