Summary

CVE-2023-5931, also known as the Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability, affects the rtMedia for WordPress, BuddyPress, and bbPress WordPress plugin before version 4.6.16. Attackers with low-privilege accounts, such as subscribers, can exploit this vulnerability to upload arbitrary files like PHP on the server. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is high, as it allows unauthorized individuals to execute malicious code on the affected system.
