Summary
CVE-2023-5884 is a vulnerability affecting the Word Balloon plugin for WordPress. Before version 4.20.3, this plugin failed to secure some of its actions against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks. As a result, an unauthenticated attacker can manipulate a logged-in user into deleting arbitrary avatars by creating a malicious link, leading to potential unintended modifications or loss of data. Users are advised to update the plugin to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
