Summary
CVE-2023-5809 is a vulnerability affecting the Popup box WordPress plugin before version 3.8.6. This issue arises from the plugin's failure to sanitize and escape certain settings, making it susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. Even with the unfiltered_html capability disallowed, high privilege users such as admins can exploit this vulnerability. In multisite setups, this could pose a significant security risk.
