Summary
CVE-2023-5750 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the EmbedPress WordPress plugin before version 3.9.2. Malicious scripts can be injected into a webpage by exploiting the lack of sanitization and escaping of a user input parameter. This issue poses a significant threat, particularly to high-privilege users like administrators, who could be tricked into visiting a maliciously crafted link or opening a manipulated file, resulting in unintended code execution in their WordPress dashboard.
