Summary

CVE-2023-5740 is a vulnerability found in the Live Chat with Facebook Messenger plugin for WordPress. The vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 1.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. This can lead to the execution of these scripts whenever a user accesses the injected page. The risk score for this vulnerability is 25, indicating a medium severity level.
