Summary
CVE-2023-5711 is a vulnerability affecting the System Dashboard plugin for WordPress. This issue stems from a missing capability check on the sd_php_info() function, which can be exploited via an AJAX action. Authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access or higher, can leverage this flaw to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information, as provided by PHP info. Versions of the plugin up to and including 2.8.7 are affected. It is essential for WordPress users to update their System Dashboard plugin to mitigate this risk.
