Summary

CVE-2023-5705 is a vulnerability affecting the VK Filter Search plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 2.3.1 of the plugin due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. It has a base severity rating of MEDIUM with a base score of 6.4 according to CVSS version 3.1. The potential danger this vulnerability poses to an organization is considered low for both integrity and confidentiality impacts, with no impact on availability.
