Summary

CVE-2023-5669 is a vulnerability affecting the Featured Image Caption plugin for WordPress in all versions up to and including 0.8.10. The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts through the plugin's shortcode and post meta. This can lead to stored cross-site scripting, where the injected scripts execute whenever a user accesses an affected page.
