Summary

CVE-2023-5660 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the SendPress Newsletters plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.22.3.31, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's shortcodes. As a result, injected pages will execute whenever a user accesses them, potentially leading to significant security risks.
