Summary

CVE-2023-5659 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Interact: Embed A Quiz On Your Site plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the plugin's 'interact-quiz' shortcode, which fails to properly sanitize and escape user-supplied attributes. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts. Once injected, these scripts will be executed whenever a user accesses an affected page. Versions of the plugin up to and including 3.0.7 are affected by this issue.
