Summary
CVE-2023-5632 is a vulnerability affecting Eclipse Mosquito versions prior to 2.0.6. This issue arises when establishing a connection to the mosquitto server without sending data, resulting in the EPOLLOUT event being added excessively. Consequently, the CPU consumption becomes excessive, enabling a potential denial of service attack. Malicious actors can exploit this vulnerability by repeatedly establishing such connections, causing significant system strain. However, this issue has been rectified in the latest version, 2.0.6.
