Summary

CVE-2023-5606 is a vulnerability that affects the ChatBot for WordPress in versions 4.8.6 through 4.9.6. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages via the FAQ Builder, resulting in stored cross-site scripting attacks. The vulnerability can only be exploited on multi-site installations or installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled. The potential danger of this vulnerability is that it allows attackers to execute malicious code whenever a user accesses an injected page. To remediate this vulnerability, users should update their ChatBot for WordPress to a version that includes a fix for the issue.
