Summary
CVE-2023-5552 is a password disclosure vulnerability affecting the Secure PDF eXchange (SPX) feature in Sophos Firewall versions 19.5 MR3 (19.5.3) and older. When the password type is set to "Specified by sender," attackers with full email access can decrypt PDFs, making the contents susceptible to unauthorized access. This issue may pose a significant risk in corporate environments where email communications are common. Sophos has released an update to address this vulnerability, and users are encouraged to apply it as soon as possible.
