Details
Summary
CVE-2023-5467 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the GEO my WordPress plugin for WordPress. This issue arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in shortcodes, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level or above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, potentially leading to unintended actions or data disclosure. Updates to versions beyond 4.0 of the plugin are recommended to address this vulnerability.
