Summary

The vulnerability with the CVE ID name CVE-2023-5437 affects the WP fade in text news plugin for WordPress in versions up to and including 12.0. It is susceptible to SQL Injection attacks due to insufficient escaping on user-supplied parameters and lack of sufficient preparation on existing SQL queries. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level and above permissions to append additional SQL queries into existing queries, potentially extracting sensitive information from the database.
