CVE-2023-5432 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the Jquery news ticker plugin for WordPress. The flaw, present in versions up to and including 3.1, lies in the lack of proper input sanitization and output escaping for user-supplied attributes in the 'jquery-news-ticker' shortcode. This weakness enables authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject malicious web scripts.
