Summary
CVE-2023-5412 is a vulnerability found in the Image horizontal reel scroll slideshow plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability allows for SQL Injection attacks due to insufficient escaping and lack of preparation on existing SQL queries. It affects versions up to and including 13.2 of the plugin. Authenticated attackers with subscriber-level and above permissions can exploit this vulnerability to append additional SQL queries and potentially extract sensitive information from the database. The vulnerability has a base severity rating of MEDIUM, with a base score of 6.5 according to NIST.
