Summary

CVE-2023-5412 is a vulnerability affecting the Image horizontal reel scroll slideshow plugin for WordPress. It allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level and above permissions to inject SQL queries into the plugin's shortcode. The issue arises from insufficient escaping on user-supplied parameters and the lack of sufficient preparation on existing SQL queries. This vulnerability enables attackers to extract sensitive information from the database by appending additional SQL queries to the existing ones.
